what are the advantages of using a mobilityscooter over a car?
with the credit crunch taking effect and stuff i need to cut costs
ive been looking to buy a mobilityscooter, they travel at about 8-10mph and go about 20-30 miles on one full charge, theres no tax, no mot, and no insurance, and dont need to fill up with petrol. and dont even need a licence to drive it. they can be parked just about anywhere, with no parking charges.and are so versatile they can get into places cars wont fit.
would be ideal for local work.
they have headlights, indicators, horn, window wipers etc.
i can carry all my tools on board, and use a pair of telescopic ladders collapsed/hidden behind.
theres lots of young people using them now, because there so cheap to run, and you dont need to be disabled anymore.
what do you think? good idea or bad idea?
its also better for the enviroment, theres no exaust fumes.

Is there an inexpensive way to add a sidecar to a scooter?
2005 honda silverwing
side cars attach to the frame. The new silverwings don't really have a good place fpor that to attach to. Most side side cars will run $1000-3000 min. depending on if you want brakes on them. .....

My son's 1st birthday is in November. I want to get him a "big" present for each his birthday and Christmas and then a couple smaller toys for each as well. For the big present, I am thinking something he can use outdoors. I hate that his birthday is so close to Christmas, so I am trying to think ahead since he won't have another chance to get presents in the summer/spring.
I saw some battery powered quads on sale at target for 18 months and up. I have seen little scooters that turn into skateboards. I think that a tricycle may be good for the following year, right? We are probably not going to get a swing set because I live on a pretty steep hill, unfortunately, but I also live about 2 miles from a great park!
What kinds of outdoorsy things did you get for your kids for their first birthday/christmas? Bikes, scooters, quads, others??
Hello, Caleb'sMommy! I love the name, Caleb, by the way.
I think it's a good idea to get him something outdoorsy ... get him started on an active lifestyle early!
A few ideas for you ...
My first idea (and what i think would be absolutely perfect) is the Alex Ready, Set, Go Trike. So cool! It is a 3 in 1 tricycle that adjusts from something the parent can control completely, to something you help with while your son learns to peddle, to a regular tricycle: http://amzn.to/AlexReadySetGoTrike
This Green Toys Dump Truck would be a lot of fun, something he could use at your home (despite the hill), and a great toy for at the park ... the company also sells other toy trucks if you want more than one: http://amzn.to/GreenToysDumpTruck
Another idea is a water play center, like the Slide n Fun Inflatable Play Center. If it's inflatable, you could take it with you to the park or something, and it would work at your house if you can come up with even a very small level-ish area: http://amzn.to/SlidenFunInflatablePlayCenter
You said you couldn't get a swing set because of the steep hill issue, but a swing like this could work, since it doesn't go on the ground ... you just hang it from a deck or beam or tree branch. The Little Tikes 2-in-1 Secure Swing is a good choice because it adjusts as your son grows: http://amzn.to/LittleTikesSwing
Have fun shopping for your little one!

Is the engine oil is expired or damaged over time without use?
hello, buy a new 150cc motorcyclescooter, 3 years ago that won the grandmother and my brother never turned it ehcho or petrol as if nothing was in the factory, but I doubt I need to change the engine oil ? already been 3 years of oil made from the same motor oil loses its viscosity with time or not /? let me remind you that the bike was won in a lottery and never since she was 3 years ago to win were put into underway, and its gas tank was never in fact a drop of gasoline in other words .. the bike is as fabricante.tengo left the fear that the engine oil has expired or has been damaged by the time they tell me 5 stars to which I respond better. (preferably someone who knows the affairs of engines
change the oil....
Oil is hydroscopic in that it absorbs water like a sponge so when you run the engine it will not be good for it
So fresh oil
Installing a jet kit in your carb is the best way to get the maximum performance and longest life out of your bike. The stock carburetor from the factory is designed to meet Import Regulations ... not peak performance. Once you install or modify an exhaust or intake, you have put your bike into a leaner condition that will eventually destroy your engine due to heat from running lean. If you notice...
