this question is in regards to making a homemade motorcycle street legal?
So here's the deal.
I have a bunch of scooter parts, a welder, a few motors, all the lighting equipment etc, and what not..
i want to make a new scooter frame from steel tubing, and essentially create my own scooter as a fun project. Of course i want it to be street legal.
my question is this. how do i register it if it's built from completely custom parts minus the generic motor.
please let me know.

In all states anything that is home made will need to be safety inspected by your state police department when finished but make sure that all of the parts are completely legal meaning that they are not stolen because the state police will find out and they will take this from you along with arresting you.....
Once that it passes they will issue you a new VIN for the scooter....
